The recent boat mishap on the Anam River that claimed the life of Nollywood actor Junior Pope and four others has taken a new turn. Adanma Luke, the movie producer behind the project, has voluntarily surrendered to the police.
The Nollywood community is still reeling from the recent death of actor Junior Pope Odonwodo, popularly known as Jnr Pope. The talented actor passed away after a boating accident while returning from a filming location.
This development comes just a day after the heartbreaking news of the accident. According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command told LIB that, Adanma turned herself in on April 11th and provided a statement.
While the details surrounding the incident are still under investigation, this move by the producer signals cooperation with the authorities.
Two boat operators have also been arrested and are currently in police custody. SP Ikenga further confirmed to LIB that additional cast and crew members from the production will be called in for questioning.
